On November 12, 2024—fittingly held the day after Veterans Day—Chicago Veterans will host Roll Call! Veteran Professional Networking in Chicago at The Old Post Office, proudly sponsored by Western Governors University (WGU). This special event, running from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM, is designed to connect veterans, service members, and military-connected professionals throughout the Chicagoland area. Thanks to WGU’s sponsorship and additional support from PepsiCo, this event promises an inspiring evening filled with opportunities to expand professional networks, share experiences, and explore resources that support both career advancement and the military-to-civilian transition.
An Inspiring Keynote: Rear Admiral Jeffrey Harley
Highlighting the evening will be a keynote speech from Rear Admiral Jeffrey Harley, PhD, WGU’s Senior Director of Military Engagement. Harley’s journey from E-1 to Rear Admiral Upper Half and beyond is a testament to resilience, growth, and dedication to service. His story of transition and leadership offers invaluable lessons for attendees who are navigating or supporting others through similar journeys. This unique opportunity to hear directly from a highly accomplished leader underscores the importance of mentorship and shared experiences in the military-connected community.
